A New year, New Weaves and New connections ahead as we carve out new projects for 2020... The world really is waking up to doing that little bit more for the environment and so are we.... We can now say each and every one of our workshops are totally sustainable.. 🙌
ALL the craft skills we teach use only environmentally friendly, natural materials that are ethically sourced. This includes our Macramé cords that are made using recycled cotton textiles, NOT synthetic yarns, even the little wooden decorative spacers used are from our own harvested Hazel.
We have been weaving since 2001 and in this time have acquired many techniques that are transferable across many genres and we are delighted to be rolling out more classes in even more venues 😊
Our Macramé patterns are mainly based on vintage retro designs that we have adapted for ease of teaching and can be applied in many forms to create planters, wall hangings, key chains and bottle covers, you name it, the are endless projects to apply this retro skill to. ( Spring classes in Burnavon Arts and Cultural Centre Cookstown and STRULE Arts Centre Omagh )
♻️ Over the past few years we began to work exclusively with natural sustainable materials and the only synthetic materials used are found or gatherd by way of repurposing, a BIG project soon to launch is working with beach finds & National Trust very shortly... so keep an eye out for updates...
